Ramblings

Hello folks!

Well, spent my first week working at Ettamogah. The people are loads of fun and I've already worked with one of the animators (Justin Foo) at Mickey Duck when I worked on my first animation series ("Faireez") in an animation production house. There is a lot of work involved. An intro sequence and a five minute episode is expected to be done by the end of January. I hope we get it done. There is only four of us working on it and we have to do everything from scratch. Am a little worried but each of us at the studio can only do our best.

I've been watching an animation series which Thomas gave me for Christmas. It's called "Azumanga-Daioh and it's very cool! I find it very funny. Some of the characters are a little annoying but that's normally to be expected in an anime. There's normally a character that just annoys everyone in the animation including the viewers. Anyway, I finished all 26 episodes on Friday and Saturday!

It's been so hot....so it has been rather difficult to work in this weather. Above 30 degrees on most days last week. Hopefully things will be better this week, I have a lot of work that needs to be done. No different from any other week at the moment but good weather makes working more pleasant.

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

IF: Mail

"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"

This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail.  Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.

I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week.  I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot.  Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.

IF: Burning

Howdy!

This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning.  I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not?  I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all.  This was illustrated in Flash.

I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior.  I would definitely recommend them!
