dear diary...

Hi!

Things have skyrocketed with busy-ness. Doing a project for Areeba Solutions after hours, after working full-time at Ettamogah and will be doing animation work for Wizzmedia shortly as well.

What exactly do I do in all my jobs? Animate mostly. I do set-ups as well. Sadly I haven't had much time for my own work as of late and the last illustration I did is the image shown above. Check out a bigger picture of her on RedBubble ( it's located on my Links section) I also finished off an animation for Melbourne Uni last week too.

So much to do... but it's better than having nothing to do that's for sure! I'm also socializing a lot more now, funny that when am working with people who happen to be my friends. It's a wonderful thing.

There also seems to be more work to do in the horizon and am always eager to see what else pops up and if I can fit it in. I'm obsessed I think. I like building up my folio, I enjoy meeting and working for new clients, I like most of my old clients and I want enough cash saved up for both a Europe vacation and an apartment of my own (dont want to rent forever).

But I'm also thinking how nice it would be to work overseas for a little while. A new place and a change of pace but it's a scary thing because I dont know if I would be as successful elsewhere and I really worked hard to get to this point being employable in Australia....but an adventure while feeding my workaholic habit would be nice.

Gah, am rambling.....I think this is my last day of socializing for a while and then I have to really knuckle down.

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

Howdy!  It's been a while since i posted anything up on the blog.  My bad. I've been super busy with one job after another and I WAS doing a few drawing challenges too before I got overrun with work.

For news, I finished up with one of my animation jobs last Monday, started work at one of my regular studios on Thursday and we're working on a cartoon movie for DVD, did drawing and freelance illustration in between those days and caught up with a friend, somebody was being a jack ass on the tram and I let them know it.   Rob and I also watched Logan, a great movie and I would totally recommend it.

Today, I did a bit of work, received text from one of my employers about more work and we're about to enjoy the day in a country fair.  Well, if we make it in time.  I also cooked up pancakes this morning and it wasn't a disaster.

Our kitty Hanzo (changed from Dorian) is causing a lot of mischief and he likes to eat electric cables.  Guess we have to find something to stop…

Hello! Hello!  Some news!  I was on TV a few weeks back, April 07 to be precise, to represent Moshi with Christien Clegg and Dale Andreson for Space Chickens!  It was really good fun.  The hosts Lauren and Andy were super nice.  I was quite nervous, there wasn't a lot of warm up before filming and it was all very spontaneous.  We were advised to just run with any mistakes made. smile and just have a lot of energy!

Dale and I had a couple of draw offs while Christien refereed and described Space Chickens and  animation.  There were some really weird topics that we had to draw for the last segment, I had to draw a chicken doing taxes on the sun (with Andy) and a Pelican doing the lambada on a shooting star. We only had a minute each for each drawing.  It was crazy to say the least.  I did enjoy myself though.

The pictures below were taken by our Producer that accompanied us to the shoot!

In the first drawing,, where we had to draw the chickens, I was like grabbing colors to color m…
