Lady Cat

Is that a cat head on her head?  Yes it is.  Drawn with colour pencils and put into photo shop for some love. I felt like drawing the first thing that popped into my head today.  It's the first independent piece I've done in the last two weeks.  Things got incredibly busy since I last wrote. Current news.... my contract at Dogstar ended about a week ago and I am now working as a Flash Animator at Studio Moshi for the next 5 weeks or so.  I just started last Tuesday and it has been a lot of fun thus far.  It's refreshing working on an animation that has adult themes in it.  I also finished a corporate gig today. It was going on at the same time with my last few days at Dogstar and during my first week at Moshi, and am very pleased about my finishing it.  It was a fun job but I need to sleep every now and then.  I celebrated my first few hours of semi-free time to draw this illustration....a lady with a cat on her head. Plans at the moment....still trying to find time to

Yesterday was a beautiful day in Melbourne and it was so nice to go out and enjoy the sunshine and have a picnic in the park and stay there till the sun went down.  I had a going away party yesterday that was held in Flagstaff gardens and it was just so lovely to sit there and enjoy good food and company. When evening came, I saw another group of friends and we went to see a friend performing in a show that had acrobats, hula hoops, people tumbling and doing somersaults at Gas Works.  I really loved watching the ladies perform on this cloth that was suspended on a high ceiling and just watching them climb up and do all sorts of tricks and movement on it.  Anyway, this piece was inspired by yesterday's performance.  All done in Photoshop. Today is another nice sunny day but chores and whatnot need to be done first before I can go out and play!

Long time no update!

Hi there! Long time no write and much has happened since!  I've just finished my contract with Dogstar and I have been freelancing on smaller projects here and there on the side. I've been working on developing a short film with a friend which will take a while since we both work pretty much all the time and I am still studying Japanese and training at least 2-4 times a week at Kickboxing.  Busy! Busy! Busy!  That said I am going to try and update my blog regularly. This is a sketch of an old man I saw at the train station.  I tried not to stare but I kept looking at his head which looked like truffle or cauliflower gone bad or mold/algae on his head.  I couldn't tell.  Anyway, I couldn't get the image out of my head so here's a drawing of him.  I don't think I got the tumor-like truffle correct on his scalp but it's pretty close.  It looked like it was going to take over his head!  This was done with water clour pencils on pastel paper then scanned in
