Bandanna Girl

Howdy!  Drew and coloured this up a few days ago.  This was a girl I saw at the cafe I was in, waiting to meet a friend and I thought she looked rather pretty so I drew her inconspicuously as I could, which is a lot harder than you think.  I quite like my rough sketches without pencils.

Studio work is good but I need to pick up the pace with the freelance gigs I have.  Not long now before they are due.  I spent quite a bit this week, so extra money is definitely handy.

I have been toying with the idea of perhaps learning how to become a make-up artist.  I think it would be fun.  Though perhaps I should learn how to put it on myself properly first.  I was watching some tutorials and I put on some make-up on this morning and I got quite a few compliments.  Looks like I did something right!

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

IF: Mail

"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"

This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail.  Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.

I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week.  I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot.  Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.

IF: Burning

This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning.  I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not?  I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all.  This was illustrated in Flash.

I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior.  I would definitely recommend them!
