Hi!  It's been a while since I last wrote, can't say anything exciting has happened since I last posted.  Finished the last project at the studio but still waiting until it is released to say anything about it.  I am also starting another TV series job on Monday, though again, I'll be leaving the name out until I get permission from the studio to talk about it.  Not that I can say much until it's released, yet again.  I also finished another e-book job recently and still have another one to go.  I will need to start the designs either tomorrow or tonight.  In fact, this week has been a bit of catch up week on freelance for me since I've taken the week off from my current studio and will hopefully be recharged enough to last till my next break which will be in December, during the Christmas period.  At least it will be a longer one!

Hehehe. sorry to be so vague about what I've been doing, that's the problem with working on projects that are not my own.

I've been thinking about a new illustration project and am thinking a coloring book on top of my own finished illustrations.  It might be a bit too ambitious given that am working on jobs for the majority of the day and sometimes on the weekend..but will see.  I have some ideas that I really want to embark on and have a new illustration portfolio to show off by mid-next year.  Will see!

The drawings above are from my sketchbook and are all stuffed animals I drew at the Museum.  I would love to go back.  It was my favourite spot when I went.

I have been relaxing by reading manga lately.  It's nice to switch off from time to time...though perhaps I've been switching off too much instead of being productive?  A possibility.

I also mentioned in my last entry that I was given succulents...well here they are planted!

Rob and I also went to Philip Island last week and saw the penguins, the week before we went out to dinner with my family and this weekend...am not sure to be honest! We'll probably have to dig up the backyard since we need to sort out some stuff there.

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

Howdy!  It's been a while since i posted anything up on the blog.  My bad. I've been super busy with one job after another and I WAS doing a few drawing challenges too before I got overrun with work.

For news, I finished up with one of my animation jobs last Monday, started work at one of my regular studios on Thursday and we're working on a cartoon movie for DVD, did drawing and freelance illustration in between those days and caught up with a friend, somebody was being a jack ass on the tram and I let them know it.   Rob and I also watched Logan, a great movie and I would totally recommend it.

Today, I did a bit of work, received text from one of my employers about more work and we're about to enjoy the day in a country fair.  Well, if we make it in time.  I also cooked up pancakes this morning and it wasn't a disaster.

Our kitty Hanzo (changed from Dorian) is causing a lot of mischief and he likes to eat electric cables.  Guess we have to find something to stop…

Hello! Hello!  Some news!  I was on TV a few weeks back, April 07 to be precise, to represent Moshi with Christien Clegg and Dale Andreson for Space Chickens!  It was really good fun.  The hosts Lauren and Andy were super nice.  I was quite nervous, there wasn't a lot of warm up before filming and it was all very spontaneous.  We were advised to just run with any mistakes made. smile and just have a lot of energy!

Dale and I had a couple of draw offs while Christien refereed and described Space Chickens and  animation.  There were some really weird topics that we had to draw for the last segment, I had to draw a chicken doing taxes on the sun (with Andy) and a Pelican doing the lambada on a shooting star. We only had a minute each for each drawing.  It was crazy to say the least.  I did enjoy myself though.

The pictures below were taken by our Producer that accompanied us to the shoot!

In the first drawing,, where we had to draw the chickens, I was like grabbing colors to color m…
