Urban Sketching: Fitzroy GardensCook's Cootage

Cook's Cottage

Hi!  Was Urban Sketching with the sketchers today at Fitzroy Gardens.  It was lovely and I would have loved to have drawn inside the Conservatory but it was too crowded.  Inside is extremely pretty though.  Gorgeous flowers.  Today was a lot of fun and I thought I would change it up by not drawing in my regular long format book and no markers!  All watercolours today on my antique book!  I must say that I am running out of pages in my book and need to get a new one.  Or I could draw on normal paper for a while and not freak folks out on how am desecrating a book.  Yes, this book was printed in the 1930s, a proper antique but was all tatty already and I bought it specifically to draw on since the pages were pretty thick.  Now to find another book with thick pages again....or music sheets.  Been wanting to draw on old music sheets....

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

IF: Mail

"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"

This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail.  Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.

I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week.  I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot.  Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.

IF: Burning

This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning.  I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not?  I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all.  This was illustrated in Flash.

I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior.  I would definitely recommend them!
