First pattern of the year and Life Update

Marta Tesoro pattern design
Champagne Pattern

I finished my first pattern for the year!  I did it for PatternswithMaja challenge on instagram and the first theme is champagne.  Do check out my instagram for the other colourways.  I liked this one since it's subtle and has a gold vibe to it.  When you look at this design from afar it almost like a scallop pattern.  I hope to make small mini collections when I can and I've decided to do pattern challenges when I can but at the same time not put too much pressure on myself.  Paid work has to come first this year.

Picture provided by Meera from Eltham Bookshop

Last year I had a book launch for a book I illustrated:  Drop into the Ocean: A tour of the Worlds Oceans and Seas with author Karen Wasson at Eltham Bookshop and I received this lovely picture from the bookstore owner, Meera. I hope to do more books in the future, it was fun and I love the illustrations I did on that book.

Illustration done for a job

I've been working with an educational company for a while now and I was hired to do a variety of illustrations over the last few months and I finally finished the last one last Sunday.  Woo hoo!  The illustration above was my favourite one out of the lot though!

Other than that...I started back at Moshi on Jan 06 and I feel like the 2 week break didn't even happen.  I think 3 weeks would have been a nice length of time to de-stress.
