Urban Sketching: 57-65 Ford Street Beechworth

 

Hi!  Am still on my urban sketching kick.  What can I say, I draw whatever I feel like drawing at the time and right now, am all about the urban sketching. Though, truthfully it's more like a semi urban sketch since I sketch on the spot, I might not finish or only get as far as the inking and then colour and work on the details at home. So I guess it's a combination of an urban sketch and a photo study?

The point is, am enjoying what I am doing at the moment so let's just go with that!

Rob and I were at Beechworth a few months ago. We've travelled here a few times (old post here) and we never get tired of it. We stayed the night and were enjoying ourselves in the rooftop area of the pub and I was drinking mulled wine (one of my favourites) while sketching the street across. I do love old buildings.

It was nice and sunny when I started but the sun was setting by the time I finished. I would love to come back and draw another bit of the town next time! There is just so much here to see and explore. The other towns nearby were lovely too.
