A new business venture coming soon....

3D lighting assessment (WIP)

Howdy, currently working on the lighting assessment at school.  This is no where near done yet.  Needs some yellows and oranges in here and global illumination has not been turned on.  A lot of work needs to be done....and rendering takes forever!!!  Am going to die of old age before this examination finishes!

  1. good way to check is to use after effects as a comp program, you can layer the lights that you like and want to separate on separate passes using the render layers in Maya then import to layers in AE comp using screen or multiply once you have ambient occlusion and fill light passes, then use addition down lights etc and add them and rewrite over the files linked to after effects then you only have to refresh them in after effects to see the tweaks, better than trying to do all the lights in one pass,

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

IF: Mail

"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"

This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail.  Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.

I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week.  I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot.  Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.

IF: Burning

Howdy!

This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning.  I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not?  I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all.  This was illustrated in Flash.

I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior.  I would definitely recommend them!
