Design for Animation Job: Security Guard re-designed
Reference pic from Joan Miro
Original Character design
Hello! Here's one of the things I was working last night. The above is my design based on the two images below it. I had a character that I had to re-design to look like the work of another artist. I love Joan Miro so it was one of the artist's that I wanted to emulate. There needs to be some colour changes for the final piece which will be a walk cycle I will need to animate before the end of this month. This is actually a favour to a friend from 3D school and this will be going in their short film. They felt like they needed a 2D element in their short film. Designing was a lot of fun, hopefully it wont take too long to animate.
Hi, hi! How are things going? Thought I would touch base. My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on. Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes. Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train. We love sushi train. I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri. I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo. He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat. I need to lose weight too. I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more. Working on some test animations tomorrow. Should be good fun!
"Little Benny is off to remedy a pest problem" Howdy, When the theme "Remedy" for Illustration Friday came about, this came to my head. I suppose I always had a thorough and maybe a tad bit on the overkill side when it comes to remedying certain problems. I got bitten by bedbugs while I was in an Austrian hostel and this is exactly what I wanted to do...eradicate the nasty little creatures from the face of the planet. This is hand drawn and then scanned into Photoshop for colouring. I went hiking again today. Went hiking in the rain and mud in the Dandeong ranges and treated myself to scones afterwards. Not a bad day at all. Keeping active and having a balance between work and staying at home all the time and just trekking outdoors really helps me focus on what I need to do.
Howdy! This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning. I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not? I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all. This was illustrated in Flash. I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior. I would definitely recommend them!
