A new business venture coming soon....

Male 02: David Pereira

Hello!  Drawings males...day 02.  Facial hair is hard!!!!  I am so unsure how to make it look natural.I used to draw girl faces for months before working on the bodies.  I'll make sure to do some body shots this month but right now, I just want to see if I can get different looking dudes faces right.  Asking friends if I can draw them.  More fun if you can draw your friends.

Anyhow, this drawing was done all with pen, no pencil and based on a photo of my friend David Pereira who is an awesome artist and we've done a group show once together and do a lot of drawing sessions and dumpling dinners out.  Rob and I are seeing him today for his birthday shindig.  Hurrah!  Should be fun...

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

IF: Mail

"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"

This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail.  Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.

I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week.  I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot.  Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.

IF: Burning

Howdy!

This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning.  I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not?  I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all.  This was illustrated in Flash.

I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior.  I would definitely recommend them!
