Art Vs Artist April 2020

52 Week Illustration Challenge, Week 07: Farm

Hi!  My post for week 07 52 week Illustration Challenge: Farm.  I had fun drawing these.  Chicks are always good fun to draw and I haven't drawn many bireds in while.  It was a busy and productive day today and the illustration book job is keeping me very very busy.  That said, I did make time for the gym and to see a friend for some lunch and a bit of cafe sketching.  Always nice to just draw a quick still life from time to time.

Anyhoo, got to keep going.  Trying to finish all the colouring for one chapter tomorrow and to start inking the second chapter of the book.  Am hoping to get some roughs done too for chapter 03....did I mention am a bit flat out?

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

IF: Mail

"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"

This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail.  Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.

I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week.  I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot.  Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.

IF: Burning

Howdy!

This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning.  I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not?  I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all.  This was illustrated in Flash.

I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior.  I would definitely recommend them!
