Urban Sketching: Yarra Building at Fed Square

Yarra Building in Fed Square

Hi!  Went out sketching with the Melbourne Urban Sketchers last Saturday and I drew this!  Not totally realistic but fun to do.  It's nice using a limited palette from time to time and besides, who wants to draw realistically, all the time, right?  It was an awesome day of sketching and chilling out with everyone!

It was a very chilled out weekend and not a hard day today either so that's good!  I got quite a bit of work done and sorting out my rough and idea for another exhibition, trained, did some house chores (still have to do the dishes tomorrow though!).

So cold tonight!  Might just chill out in bed next to the heater!

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

IF: Mail

"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"

This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail.  Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.

I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week.  I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot.  Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.

IF: Burning

Howdy!

This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning.  I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not?  I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all.  This was illustrated in Flash.

I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior.  I would definitely recommend them!
