Hallo, hallo! So yesterday I came home from work to a parcel pick up letter. Went to the post office in the morning and didn't open the package until I got into work and lo and behold...the two books I was working on earlier this year has been published! So very cool! I have more than one copy for each book too! Looks like the parents get to have a copy! The author contacted me and said she was very pleased with it. Hopefully the publishing company will have more projects for me to illustrate in the future!
A good and busy day at work today. A bit tired though.
How are things going? Thought I would touch base. My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on. Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes. Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train. We love sushi train. I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.
I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo. He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat. I need to lose weight too. I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.
Working on some test animations tomorrow. Should be good fun!
"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"
This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail. Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.
I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week. I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot. Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.
This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning. I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not? I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all. This was illustrated in Flash.
I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior. I would definitely recommend them!
