Moth Skull

Halloween is coming so I decided that it is time to upload my skull designs into my teepublic shop ! I have so many skulls drawn and though I've promoted them elsewhere, I think it's time to see them on shirts! All mock up images are from Freepik. 

My Moth Skull is on the psychedelic side. I also think I need to draw more insects in my pieces. It looks good.

The Dragonfly Skull above is one of my favourites. I love the purple and the green contrast and the bright colours. I cannot wait to order my own.

The Cage Skull was originally called Quarantine. Most of these skulls were drawn in 2020 when the world was in turmoil. I probably shouldn't be surprised that I delved into memento mori themes in my art work during that time.

I love mushrooms and this batch of skulls all have it. The Brown Mushrooms Skull was originally drawn for a copic marker challenge using brown and warm autumn tones.

Snakes turn up a lot in my work. I was originally going to make a series using zodiac signs or animals and covering them with snakes but I only managed to do Taurus. Oh well. I might still do it later, I really do love drawing snakes, I find drawing scales calming.

Lizards are another thing I would like to draw more. A friend suggested drawing a gecko and so I did. Love the contrast of pinks and yellow with the green.  Pink mushrooms are gorgeous too, this is a Rhodotus Palmatus or Wrinkled Peach.

Birds are another subject I draw so much of. Am a big animal lover, what can I say? Fairy Wren do like to nest low, thought a skull with mushrooms could work for them.

My honeycomb Skull was based on a honeycomb mushroom though I ended up changing the colour. I may draw the honeycomb skull again and combine with insects. That said, I really like how this one turned out, grey and red is a gorgeous combo.

Strawberry Skull

An old photo of me with my Strawberry Skull shirt.  I love drawing strawberry themed animals and I've used strawberries as a motif on more than one occasion. This is certainly one of my favourite designs.

I haven't written in a while since things have been so busy! I am trying to update my shops more and just get my work out there and purchase my own clothes while I am at it!
