Art Vs Artist April 2020

People of Fitzroy

I was urban sketching on my own in Fitzroy, and drawing the "Flowers of Vasette" , when the guys from Saibu no Akuma spotted me and decided to include me in their project "People of Fitzroy" on their blog.  Here's the original link to me!  It was really cool and I was happy to be a part of their project.  I would say drawing for life applies to me because it is my hooby, my passion and a source of income.  I do it all the time and it makes me happy.  Even when am snowed under deadlines, it still makes me happy.  I have so many projects that involves drawing, painting, animating that I hope to live long enough to complete all the projects that I want and am undertaking.

Check out all the current urban sketchings I've done here!

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

IF: Mail

"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"

This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail.  Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.

I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week.  I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot.  Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.

IF: Burning

Howdy!

This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning.  I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not?  I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all.  This was illustrated in Flash.

I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior.  I would definitely recommend them!
