Urban Sketching: Blue Dragonfly view 02

Hallo, hallo!  I drew this one ages ago on April 21 but am only putting it up now.  I actually have a lot of urban Sketches to put up.  Please check out my instagram for real time art when it's done.  More or less...but it's the most accurate one since I can post more than once a day in there and a lot of work in progresses too.

One of the owners of the cafe has already bought this and I still need to draw another two views!  Yay for commissions!  This was difficult but a lot of fun to do and I was there for aaaaages!

Anyway, did a few more urban sketches yesterday and  will put those up...after all the sketches I've done has been put up on the blog!  That's the thing, I only post once a day with my blog and multiple times on Facebook and instagram.

Yesterday, I went and got a massage, delivered artwork to my accountant (yup,I got commissioned), saw my doctor for a prescription, went to a cafe in Brunswick and Urban Sketched with two friends and then met up with another friend visiting from Tasmania, went out to fancy Spanish dinner and a fancy bar, went back to another friends' house (who at the dinner and drinks), stayed the night at her place.  It was a very nice day yesterday!  Full of friends, creativity and lots of food!

Space Chickens in Space Trailer

Hi, hi!  A trailer for the projects I've been working on all year at Studio Moshi, as an Animation Team Lead, has been released!  Here it is in all it's glory.  It's pretty fun and manic and colourful, with funny stories and appealing characters. All the good things that I enjoy when working on a project.

It's always interesting when working with people from different countries and time zones, getting assets and feedback but it works.

We have 4 months left on this project.  Where did the time go?  It feels like it just zipped by.  I am looking forward to a break.  I think...this time around I will focus on getting my website done and working out all my social media accounts and perhaps a few new pieces as well.

Been doing budgets too.  I think I may have been eating out way too much and shopping, but hey...can't take money with you when you die!  That said, I think I will endeavor to be a bit more frugal in the next production.

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

Bunnylope 003

Howdy!  It's been a while since i posted anything up on the blog.  My bad. I've been super busy with one job after another and I WAS doing a few drawing challenges too before I got overrun with work.

For news, I finished up with one of my animation jobs last Monday, started work at one of my regular studios on Thursday and we're working on a cartoon movie for DVD, did drawing and freelance illustration in between those days and caught up with a friend, somebody was being a jack ass on the tram and I let them know it.   Rob and I also watched Logan, a great movie and I would totally recommend it.

Today, I did a bit of work, received text from one of my employers about more work and we're about to enjoy the day in a country fair.  Well, if we make it in time.  I also cooked up pancakes this morning and it wasn't a disaster.

Our kitty Hanzo (changed from Dorian) is causing a lot of mischief and he likes to eat electric cables.  Guess we have to find something to stop…
