A blast from the past: an episode from "Cabbies"

Hah!  Check this out, I animated this aaaages ago, total blast from the past...about 2008 I would say.  I animated 10 Cabbie episodes for Zactoons and this is one of them.   You guys can watch all 10 episodes on youtube.  I think there were more episodes after that but I ended up getting booked elsewhere so I couldn't work for them.  This was a really fun gig to animate on.

Guess that's the advantage of not having much time at the moment to generate new artwork is that I have to look at my backlog of work that I would be allowed to post up on my blog.  I can't put up much of what I am currently working on, that's for sure.  I like looking at the different gigs I've done over the years and the range of it.  From community, government, corporate jobs, animations for kids so it's all c-rating (c-rating is even lower and far less offensive than the g-rating) to adult animations that are aimed to offend.   It's pretty cool and I love being able to switch styles and just working with and on a whole lot of variety of projects.  This, for me, is why freelancing can be so awesome and rewarding.

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

IF: Mail

"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"

This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail.  Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.

I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week.  I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot.  Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.

IF: Burning

Howdy!

This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning.  I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not?  I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all.  This was illustrated in Flash.

I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior.  I would definitely recommend them!
