Just a normal day at work

This is me at my work station at the studio.  Notice anything odd?  Anyhoo, things are rather flat out at the moment and the days feel like they're blurring into each other and the work has been non-stop...especially the last few days.  My batteries are starting to feel a bit flat.  The work is great though and everything am working on are actual projects that I enjoy.

True, I don't have to freelance after work, I do have a contract after all.  However, I want to make sure to maintain a relationship with my previous clients and it's always good to form relationships with new clients as well while am not under any pressure to look for jobs.  It's a difficult balance to say the least.

  1. More people should go to work with little creatures on their head :)

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

IF: Mail

"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"

This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail.  Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.

I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week.  I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot.  Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.

IF: Burning

This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning.  I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not?  I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all.  This was illustrated in Flash.

I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior.  I would definitely recommend them!
