First post of the year: Jump sparkling Lemon drink

Spent a few days at a friends place for New Years and general relaxation.  I saw this at his place and thought it was a cool package to draw.  I like drawing packaging.  I find it very relaxing.

I have to say that it is extremely hot at the moment.  First few days of 2015 and we're experiencing a heat wave.  Very yuck right now.

What am I aiming for 2015?  Hopefully figuring out a theme for a solo exhibition so I can get working on the pieces on top of working on animation and illustration gigs.  Saving money, going to Japan and hopefully finding more work which is always the way.  Not too sure how I will fare but am going to do my best without burning out....I hope!

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

IF: Mail

"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"

This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail.  Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.

I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week.  I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot.  Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.

IF: Burning

This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning.  I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not?  I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all.  This was illustrated in Flash.

I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior.  I would definitely recommend them!
