Macaque work in progress

Hi!  Wow...this week has been super busy that I haven't been able to post for a while.  I started working on this piece about Tuesday and was working on this before hours and sometimes during lunch. This is what it currently looks like.  I'll be making quite a few changes in Photoshop.  I am currently working in a studio and animating on a commercial that is combined with live action.  My first one yet!  It's been great but busy.  Studio work does take a bit out of me and I was working on another job for a couple of hours most of the nights this week too.  I was working on my story book job today and fingers crossed that I finish it tomorrow.  Here's hoping!  I am going to complete another page tonight, that should solidify my chances!

We also went to a very lovely pub today in the country.  It was in a "blink and you miss it" town and we really liked it!  More visits from us in the future, I think.

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

IF: Burning

This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning.  I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not?  I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all.  This was illustrated in Flash.

I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior.  I would definitely recommend them!

IF: Mail

"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"

This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail.  Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.

I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week.  I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot.  Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.
