Urban Sketching: Government Building

Hello, hello! Was at the Botanical Gardens today with the rest of the Melbourne Urban Sketchers (the meetup is getting big) and I decided to draw the Government Building with a few of the others.  It was a lot of fun!  Quite a few friends came today too from Studio Moshi.  It was a good day all around!

I took the big panoramic sketch book today and it takes me forever to draw and it really is quite cumbersome to bring around.  With that book, I need to be sitting down (tried to draw standing up and it hurt my left wrist) and with a table and if I don't have a table, I need to draw in portrait so I can use my legs to support the weight.  I was also trying to pencil today and it really doesn't work for me.  As soon as I ditched the pencil, things flowed much better!
