52 Weeks of Florals: Lesser Celandine and update

Whoops. Totally forgot about this drawing that I did some time last year. I forgot to post it. Painted traditionally with gouache and then edited digitally to create a pattern. 

I haven't really been feeling the patterns lately, to be honest. I think I just need a break from it. I am also inspired to urban sketch again. I haven't done it since 2017 and since I sold a sketch and looked at my old drawings, I am just inspired to do it again.  I did love it and easily drew over a hundred or so drawings over the 2014-mid 2017 period.

It's funny how something from over 10 years ago would just suddenly sell. Goes to show that you shouldn't throw any original art out and that posting it out there gives it the chance to be discovered. Of course, I stopped posting regularly because my work got stolen several times (but with some help, I've managed to actually get compensated for stolen work which was absolutely brilliant ) and AI. AI is now everywhere, it's probably what's pushing me to do even more traditional and live work now instead of finishing work off digitally....at least for non-work art. 

Now back to urban sketching, I've actually contacted a sketching busy of mine and we're going to be sketching this weekend, which I am so looking forward to. I haven't drawn anything in like weeks!
