IF:Vocal

I believe that people do need to be vocal to get what they want, express their needs, their feelings, thoughts and basically what is important to them.  Not in an everyday sense but definitely for things that are important.  I mean, people aren't mind readers.  Well, most of them aren't anyway.  I have a friend or two that can read me like a book but not everyone is like that.  If people don't say what they need, how will others know?  Of course...sometimes.. people wont always react well with what is said but I think that's a risk worth taking more often than not.

Anyhoo, this was drawn up in Flash and then quite a bit of post and texturing done on Photoshop.  I love playing with colours and textures.  This is for Illustration Friday: vocal.

My parents came by today.  It was really nice.  I now have an abundance of fruit and food!  Hurrah!  Alas, I need to tighten the budget a bit more for the next few months until I get more gigs and whatnot.  A bit difficult with school but am managing it thus far.  I also finished my bath tub model today.  I am so pleased!  One item down...a bazillion more to go!  Well...perhaps not that much.

I hope everyone had an Awesome Easter!!!

  1. Hooray for supplies delivered by parents! This is a really neat play with textures. So different than a lot of your stuff. I like that little figure at the bottom. I wonder what she's saying!

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

IF: Burning

Howdy!

This is my illustration for Illustration Friday and the theme is Burning.  I wanted to do something simple with bold colours and I went for "burning passion" and why not?  I think it's the type of burning most people wont mind at all.  This was illustrated in Flash.

I bought two awesome fashion books today: Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior.  I would definitely recommend them!

IF: Mail

"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"

This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail.  Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.

I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week.  I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot.  Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.
