A new business venture coming soon....

Thinkie...thinkie.....

Hello, hello!  This piece was inspired by my musician friend, Daniel Waghorn.  Check his site out!

Well...a  lot of things has happened lately.  I discovered I have no will power against Milo and had to give that up.  I had a couple of jobs go through and now things get really interesting since a big assessment is coming up in 3D school, my juggling of time skills are well and truly going to be put to the test.  I rejoined an old gym franchise I used to go to so I can keep training with Justin and I will be moving the fish drawings I have at the studio to another cafe that where pretty happy with the look of my work.  I want to now show off my range at the studio by picking my favourite illustrations to decorate on the wall.  Am hoping to do that after the current 3D assessment if not sooner.

Things have been really good.  Everyday feels like a big day though, so much needs to constantly get done that my sense of time is going out the window.  To me, the year feels like it's already October or something like that as every day has been jam packed.  Things to do, exercising, people to meet and to catch up with.  I love what am doing though and so I am pretty pleased with the way things are going!

  1. Sounds great! It's wonderful to be busy, and not just with things you MUST do but also things you enjoy. This illustration is so cool! I love the color and texture and it's just a little bit spooky. The little owl is perfect.

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

Hello! Hello!  Some news!  I was on TV a few weeks back, April 07 to be precise, to represent Moshi with Christien Clegg and Dale Andreson for Space Chickens!  It was really good fun.  The hosts Lauren and Andy were super nice.  I was quite nervous, there wasn't a lot of warm up before filming and it was all very spontaneous.  We were advised to just run with any mistakes made. smile and just have a lot of energy!

Dale and I had a couple of draw offs while Christien refereed and described Space Chickens and  animation.  There were some really weird topics that we had to draw for the last segment, I had to draw a chicken doing taxes on the sun (with Andy) and a Pelican doing the lambada on a shooting star. We only had a minute each for each drawing.  It was crazy to say the least.  I did enjoy myself though.

The pictures below were taken by our Producer that accompanied us to the shoot!

In the first drawing,, where we had to draw the chickens, I was like grabbing colors to color m…

"Peggy was so surprised when she discovered that........"

This is my submission for Illustration Friday: Mail.  Thought I would leave it open ended for everyone else to fill in the blanks.

I haven't been able to submit for two weeks because of freelance work and it feels so nice to have something up for this week.  I am still on fashion illustration mode and enjoying it a lot.  Done in Flash and tweaked in Photoshop.
