Hibernate

Howdy!  I spent a good few hours with Rob today drawing at the Giraffe cafe in the city.  You guys should go there and try the passion fruit bread and butter pudding.  Absolutely divine!  I have to learn how to cook it.  Anyhoo, we were there for four hours.   It's great having company while drawing.  It's nice to be inspired and just draw for fun and not for work or something with a due date.  That said, come next week I have to knuckle down on some illustration work and getting my zine done for the fair next Sunday.  Hopefully that goes well.

Drawing above is all staedler fineliners and no help from Photoshop.  Thought I would post up the original scanned piece today.  One of the few drawings I managed to get done while at the cafe!  I thought she looked like an Eskimo woman or someone rugged up or cocooned.

Rob helped install my air stone for my aquarium today too, very pleased with it but my aqua scaping has changed a bit and I want to re-do it.  Though, may have to wait at the next water change.  Ah, we also saw a really sad looking goldfish at the Giraffe cafe.  It was pretty depressing, the fish looked like it was just waiting for death.  Actually, I've been to a lot of aquariums were a lot of the fish looked pretty depressed.  I was in one aquarium the other day looking at the guppies and pretty much all of them had ripped tails.  I couldn't tell if it was fin rot or if the guppies in that tank just didn't play well together.  I am hoping to increase the number of guppies in my tank soon.  Am hankering for a yellow one especially.

Another big day of drawing tomorrow, I think I will be working on my zine and practicing on my hand drawings.  I did manage to do a couple today though!
