Seriously...

I am a busy girl.  No really, am not just saying that.  I freelance on more than one job, I try to make it to the studio at least 3 times a week, I train twice a week,  run another 2 times in the week and I go to school for 2 full 8 hour days and 1 half day learning 3D. Then not to mention events like exhibitions, comic launches, creative meet-ups and dare I say it, catching up with the occasional friend. Let's not forget time to sleep (a rare thing) , eat, get the food to eat and basic living chores and necessities.... I have a full plate.  When I do have free time, I either rest or try to catch up with someone I haven't seen in a while.  If I have time I will text individuals if they can come out to play.  Sometimes they're available, sometimes they're not.  No big deal.  Am sure if we both live long enough we'll see each other again.

If I don't make an event for whatever reason, this is not to be taken personally and not to be thought of as "you never see me on my terms" sort of situation.  I do try my best to make all events.  Am sure we're all guilty of thinking this at one time or another towards individuals...and seriously, we all need a bit of perspective at that time.  I certainly do, as I have acted naggy to a few individuals in my life.

If there is work, or anything that involves it, I will be prioritizing that.  I am a freelancer.  Work facilitates me being able to do stuff outside of work. I will and have prioritized that over social events and if I am tired and grouchy after a 12 hour day and don't want to put on a smiley face to meet people, I really don't have to.  I do my best to juggle everything.  It wasn't that hard socializing when it was just work and studio but with school in the picture, I really don't have a lot of give in my time.

Note that my focus this year is Freelance, Study, Training and the Studio.  Everything else, I will play by ear and squeeze it in best I can.

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

Howdy!  It's been a while since i posted anything up on the blog.  My bad. I've been super busy with one job after another and I WAS doing a few drawing challenges too before I got overrun with work.

For news, I finished up with one of my animation jobs last Monday, started work at one of my regular studios on Thursday and we're working on a cartoon movie for DVD, did drawing and freelance illustration in between those days and caught up with a friend, somebody was being a jack ass on the tram and I let them know it.   Rob and I also watched Logan, a great movie and I would totally recommend it.

Today, I did a bit of work, received text from one of my employers about more work and we're about to enjoy the day in a country fair.  Well, if we make it in time.  I also cooked up pancakes this morning and it wasn't a disaster.

Our kitty Hanzo (changed from Dorian) is causing a lot of mischief and he likes to eat electric cables.  Guess we have to find something to stop…

Hello! Hello!  Some news!  I was on TV a few weeks back, April 07 to be precise, to represent Moshi with Christien Clegg and Dale Andreson for Space Chickens!  It was really good fun.  The hosts Lauren and Andy were super nice.  I was quite nervous, there wasn't a lot of warm up before filming and it was all very spontaneous.  We were advised to just run with any mistakes made. smile and just have a lot of energy!

Dale and I had a couple of draw offs while Christien refereed and described Space Chickens and  animation.  There were some really weird topics that we had to draw for the last segment, I had to draw a chicken doing taxes on the sun (with Andy) and a Pelican doing the lambada on a shooting star. We only had a minute each for each drawing.  It was crazy to say the least.  I did enjoy myself though.

The pictures below were taken by our Producer that accompanied us to the shoot!

In the first drawing,, where we had to draw the chickens, I was like grabbing colors to color m…
