YAY ME! (100th drawing!)

Day 100 of drawing straight!!!  Whooooo hoooo!  I honestly didn't think I would make it this far and I have been very pleased with the quality that has come about.  Some areas to improve on but seeing that I don't have time to draw for hours everyday, I think I did pretty well!

Incidentally, for those who don't know, the goal was to illustrate everyday till December 31, the 6 month mark.  So I have a couple more months to go before achieving the goal.  Still, a hundred drawings is pretty cool, right?

For other news, getting excited with all the costume events coming about and there are a few new things on the cards such as:

1) I will be taking a screen printing course in November if the course doesn't fall through due to lack of numbers.

2) Looks like I may have freelance work till end of the year.  We shall see, still waiting on details.

3) My interview for the 3D animation course I want to do next year is on this month!

A lot of things in the air and it's all pretty exciting.  Something not so exciting though is having to do taxes before the end of this month.  Ugh....I don't like doing taxes.  Normally means bad news.  Ah well. Life of a freelancer, right?

Illustration was done in Flash.  Would have liked to have done something uber fancy but I have a due date today.

Some journal entries!

Hi, hi!

How are things going?  Thought I would touch base.  My first week and a bit at work has been quite full on.  Lots of work to do for now.....will see how that goes.  Rob and I went to Sushi Jiro at the QV last weekend for some delicious sushi train.  We love sushi train.  I especially wanted to draw the scampi nigiri and the spicy salmon nigiri.

I also drew my fatty boombah kitty, Hanzo.  He is on a diet...but it's going to take time to lose weight, so he's still fat.  I need to lose weight too.  I really need to lessen my sugar and certainly exercise more.

Working on some test animations tomorrow.  Should be good fun!

Space Chickens in Space Trailer

Hi, hi!  A trailer for the projects I've been working on all year at Studio Moshi, as an Animation Team Lead, has been released!  Here it is in all it's glory.  It's pretty fun and manic and colourful, with funny stories and appealing characters. All the good things that I enjoy when working on a project.

It's always interesting when working with people from different countries and time zones, getting assets and feedback but it works.

We have 4 months left on this project.  Where did the time go?  It feels like it just zipped by.  I am looking forward to a break.  I think...this time around I will focus on getting my website done and working out all my social media accounts and perhaps a few new pieces as well.

Been doing budgets too.  I think I may have been eating out way too much and shopping, but hey...can't take money with you when you die!  That said, I think I will endeavor to be a bit more frugal in the next production.

Bunnylope 003

Howdy!  It's been a while since i posted anything up on the blog.  My bad. I've been super busy with one job after another and I WAS doing a few drawing challenges too before I got overrun with work.

For news, I finished up with one of my animation jobs last Monday, started work at one of my regular studios on Thursday and we're working on a cartoon movie for DVD, did drawing and freelance illustration in between those days and caught up with a friend, somebody was being a jack ass on the tram and I let them know it.   Rob and I also watched Logan, a great movie and I would totally recommend it.

Today, I did a bit of work, received text from one of my employers about more work and we're about to enjoy the day in a country fair.  Well, if we make it in time.  I also cooked up pancakes this morning and it wasn't a disaster.

Our kitty Hanzo (changed from Dorian) is causing a lot of mischief and he likes to eat electric cables.  Guess we have to find something to stop…
